About Jessica

Jessica has spent fifteen years as an art director for publishing and product brands. Her studio helps teams find a visual voice that still feels human at scale.

Before founding Fieldnote Studio in 2018 she led the visual design of two weekly magazines and the launch of a reading app. Her team now works with product companies that want their brand to feel the same on a phone screen, a printed programme and a stage backdrop.

On stage she shows the drafts as well as the finished work: the rejected directions, the brief that changed halfway, the version the client loved and the one that shipped.

Stop making pretty stuff: design with soul

    Studio A · Talk

    Moodboards that survive the meeting

How to present a visual direction so the room argues about the idea, not about the shade of blue. With the moodboards from three real pitches, and what each client said.

    Art direction for product teams

From last year’s stage
